The venerable long standing Melbourne/Naarm ARI Blindside located in the equally wonderful Nicholas building, where Jasmin Wing-lin Leung and I also share a studio, has an iteration of its radio art station B-side Radio running over this past fortnight to celebrate its 20th Anniversary. There is a wealth of discursive and sonic treats on the programme, which is running between November 21 and December 13.
Jasmin and I have been asked to stage an adaptation for live radio broadcast of our work THE NINTH TONE for the gallery studio on Wednesday 4th December, 5-6pm. That's today!
If you didn't manage to catch THE NINTH TONE in its inaugural performance last Sunday in Chinatown at the Museum of Chinese Australian History, you're welcome to tune in, either at home or (my personal recommendation) with a small portable radio and a wine downstairs at the Nicholas at the hotly contested tables at Cathedral Coffee!
I'd also recommend listening in to some more of the great programming on B-side radio before it winds up on the 13th December.
